ROLE OVERVIEW – Licensed Vocational Nurse
Location: Sherman Oaks, CA Type: Full-Time
Are you a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse seeking an opportunity to make a real impact in wound care? Look no further! BH Wound Care, a leading healthcare provider specializing in advanced wound healing solutions, is seeking a motivated and skilled LVN to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities: As a Licensed Vocational Nurset at BH Wound Care, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our specialized wound care team. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Assisting physicians and wound care specialists in patient assessments, wound evaluations, and treatment procedures.
Preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for patient care.
Taking patient medical histories, vital signs, and documenting accurate and comprehensive electronic health records.
Assisting with wound dressing changes, wound measurements, and other wound care procedures as directed by the medical team.
Educating patients and caregivers on wound care instructions and post-treatment protocols.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated and comprehensive care.
Adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a high standard of patient safety.
Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution.
LVN license in California.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and medical professionals.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Prior experience in wound care or a medical specialty is a plus.
Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
Spanish speaking is a plus.
