ROLE OVERVIEW – Licensed Vocational Nurse
Location: Sherman Oaks, CA
Type: Full-Time

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse seeking an opportunity to make a real impact in wound care? Look no further! BH Wound Care, a leading healthcare provider specializing in advanced wound healing solutions, is seeking a motivated and skilled LVN to join our dynamic team.
 
Responsibilities:
As a Licensed Vocational Nurset at BH Wound Care, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our specialized wound care team. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Assisting physicians and wound care specialists in patient assessments, wound evaluations, and treatment procedures.
  • Preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for patient care.
  • Taking patient medical histories, vital signs, and documenting accurate and comprehensive electronic health records.
  • Assisting with wound dressing changes, wound measurements, and other wound care procedures as directed by the medical team.
  • Educating patients and caregivers on wound care instructions and post-treatment protocols.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a high standard of patient safety.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution.
  • LVN license in California.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and medical professionals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in wound care or a medical specialty is a plus.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
  • Spanish speaking is a plus.
