Responsibilities:
As a Medical Assistant at BH Wound Care, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our specialized wound care team. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting physicians and wound care specialists in patient assessments, wound evaluations, and treatment procedures.
- Taking patient medical histories, vital signs, and documenting accurate and comprehensive electronic health records.
- Assisting with wound dressing changes, wound measurements, and other wound care procedures as directed by the medical team.
- Educating patients and caregivers on wound care instructions and post-treatment protocols.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a high standard of patient safety.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution.
- Active Medical Assistant certification in California.
- CPR Certification
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and medical professionals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Prior experience in wound care or a medical specialty is a plus.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
- Spanish speaking is a plus.
- Reliable means of transportation.
Salary: $23.00 – $28.00 per hour
